Passenger Terminal Renovations
Improve The Flow Of Passengers
Recent renovations to the terminal building are now complete. The renovations have
improved the flow of passengers by opening up the baggage claim area and enhancing the
public waiting area. New wayfinding signage creates a focal point for the facility, which
now offers free wireless service — Wi-Fi — a real bonus for business travelers.
The Kingston Airport handles an average of 80,000 passengers annually, with seven daily
scheduled passenger flights provided by Air Canada.

Canada Updates Luggage/Carry-On Security
Transport Canada has amended security requirements for passengers who may need to bring
limited quantities of liquids, gels and aerosols onboard aircraft. As of Nov. 6,
passengers will be permitted to bring such materials through security screening at
Canadian airports provided that the items are in containers of 100 ml (3.4 oz.) or less,
instead of the previous 90 ml (3 oz.) limit. The containers must also fit comfortably in
one clear, closed and resealable plastic bag with a capacity of no more than 1 litre (1
