Appeals Committee
Composed of two members Council and three members of the public appointed annually, the Appeals Committee arbitrates appeals to Orders issued under the Property Standards By-law No. 8597 of the former City of Kingston and Ontario Regulation 198/98 of the Tenant Protection Act. The Committee is also empowered to hear appeals on refusals or revocations of licences by staff pursuant to By-law No. 98-1 and may grant minor variances to persons seeking an exemption from the requirements of the Fence By-law No. 2003-405.
