Arts, Recreation & Community Policies Committee
STANDING COMMITTEE
The Arts, Recreation & Community Policies Committee studies and reports to council on policy matters including, but not limited to:
- Accessibility.
- Animal control, including enforcement.
- Arts, including cultural issues related to theatre and museum.
- Community programs including recreation; cultural programs and special events.
- Health and safety.
- Emergency planning, policing, fire services.
- Social services.
- School crossing guards.
- Day care.
- Cemeteries.
- General bylaw enforcement.
- Social housing, including seniors and nursing homes.
- Social services, including Ontario Works.
- Children's Services and programs.
- Long-term residential care and seniors' issues.
- And, further, to consider such similar matters as may be directed by council, or referred by the City Clerk from time to time.
