Court of Revision Committee

About the Court of Revision Committee:

The Court of Revision, comprises three to five councillors, appointed annually. It has the power to review proposed special assessments and make corrections, including:

  • where the owners' portion of the cost is to be specially against the land abutting directly on the work
  • where part of the owners' portion of the cost is to be specially assessed on the land not - abutting directly on the work, in addition to the matters mentioned in clause (a), as to the lots other than those abutting directly on the work which are or will be immediately benefited by it, and as to the special assessment which such lots should respectively bear;
  • in all cases as to the actual cost of the work.
