FOCUS Kingston Steering Committee

The FOCUS Kingston Steering Committee (FKSC) was engaged in the development of a new cycle of community strategic planning for the City of Kingston. It had undertaken this work with the objective of completing an Integrated Community Sustainability Plan. This led to the approval by City Council or the Sustainable Kingston Plan, along with the incorporation of the Sustainable Kingston Corporation. Council disbanded the FOCUS Kingston Steering Committee on April 3, 2012.
The following high level mission and vision were adopted by the FKSC and Kingston City Council to guide the development of the Plan:

Mission:
The FOCUS Kingston Steering Committee will steward the creation and implementation of a Community Sustainability Plan for the City of Kingston that is based upon good strategic planning, effective community consultation, while continuing to value and respect the interrelationship and importance of the social, cultural, economic and environment dimensions of our city.
