What is the Task Force to Review Services?

A: The Task Force to Review Services was established by Council on March 30, 2004 to undertake a review of services the City of Kingston provides to its residents.

What is the mandate of the Task Force to Review Services?

A: The Task Force will oversee the process, provide guidance to the staff project team, receive and consider input from staff, the public and the project consultant, and make final recommendations to Council.

Who are the members of the Task Force?

A: At their April 13, 2004 meeting Council approved that the Task Force be comprised of five members of Council. The members of the Task Force are:

When does the Task Force meet?

A: Task Force meetings are scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month, starting at 4 p.m. in the Loyalist Room at City Hall, 216 Ontario Street. However, meetings of the Review of Services Task Force are at the call of the chair. It is anticipated that a meeting will be called in January 2005. To confirm the meeting date and time, consult the City of Kingston meetings calendar, or contact the Committee Clerk at (613) 546-4291, extension 1219.

Can the public attend Task Force meetings?

A: The public is welcome to attend Task Force meetings. If a member wishes to formally address the Task Force, they may request delegation status. Requests to appear before the Task Force and documentation for distribution must be in the Council Support Division office by 4:30 p.m. on the Thursday before the Wednesday meeting of the Task Force to Review Services. Task Force agendas and minutes can be downloaded from this site.
