BIOGRAPHY
William (Bill) Glover was first elected to represent Sydenham district in 2006 and was re-elected in 2010.
Councillor Glover is a maritime historian who has specialized in 20th-century Canadian naval history. He is currently conducting research on 18th-century navigation and hydrography. For five years he edited The Northern Mariner/Le marin du nord, an academic journal published by the Canadian Nautical Research Society.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Queen's University and a Master of Arts and PhD from the University of London in England.
Councillor Glover was born in Winnipeg and moved to Kingston in 2000 upon retirement from the Canadian navy. He lives in Sydenham district with Laird, his red border collie.
