PROCLAMATION

Purple Day
March 26, 2010

Details:

WHEREAS, one in one hundred people live with epilepsy, and countless people are affected by epilepsy every day; and

WHEREAS, there are countless people who live with and are affected by epilepsy everyday; and

WHEREAS, there should be a day where the people who are affected by epilepsy should get support; and

WHEREAS, those who are living with epilepsy need support in continuing to lead a fulfilling and rewarding life with their disorder;

THEREFORE, I, Harvey Rosen, Mayor of the City of Kingston, do hereby proclaim that, March 26th be declared "Purple Day" in the City of Kingston and encourage all citizens to wear purple to show support for all epilepsy organizations and work together to make Kingston the most supportive community in Canada for those affected by epilepsy.
