PROCLAMATION

Public Works Week
May 16-22, 2010

Details:

WHEREAS, instituted as a public education campaign by the American Public Works Association in 1960, National Public Works Week calls attention to the importance of public works in community life; and,

WHEREAS, this week will promote the tens of thousands of men and women who provide and maintain the infrastructure and services collectively known as Public Works; and,

WHEREAS, the City of Kingston will locally recognize Roads, Solid Waste, Transit, Fleet, Properties, Airport, Utilities, and Works employees;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City of Kingston proclaim May 16 to 22, 2010, as "Public Works Week" in the City of Kingston.
