Navy Week
July 11-17, 2010

WHEREAS Kingston has a rich and storied history of launching and manning ships since its inception as a settled community and compiled a distinguished record of sons and daughters serving Canada in peace and wartime;

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Navy Week in Kingston be declared from July 11 to July 17, 2010 and that citizens be urged to join naval veterans and Sea Cadets at a ceremony of unveiling and dedication of a monument and plaque commemorating the Centenary of the Canadian navy at Navy Memorial Park on Saturday, July 17, 2010 commencing at 2 p.m.
