Work is progressing on the $4.3 million project to retrofit City-owned buildings to reduce
energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The table below lists the improvements to be
completed at each facility.
The work to make these facilities energy-wise is being rolled out over the course of 2010.
The improvements will be made in phases on a system-by-system basis to:
The energy retrofit program is one initiative that will help the City reach its Council-mandated
goal to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions by 25 per cent (below year 2000 levels) by
2014 and save energy-related costs.
