Draft Vision Statement
In 20 years, Kingston City Hall National Historic Site will be widely recognized as one of the City's premier heritage sites. The built heritage and archaeological resources will be conserved to the highest standards and reflect international, national, and provincial best practices. The Civic Collection will be curated and conserved to the highest standards and reflect museumological best practices internationally,nationally, and provincially. Adequate resources will be committed to ensure the sustainability and appropriate conservation of the site and its resources. Kingston City Hall NHS will continue to serve as the focal point for local government and as a symbol of both the City of Kingston and the Corporation of the City of Kingston. All City of Kingston staff will understand and appreciate the importance of the cultural heritage resources of the site, and will address them accordingly. The site as a whole will be interpreted through a variety of media, and continue to be supported by a dynamic tour guide program.
