You will provide relief coverage for existing Crossing Guard staff members, by assisting
and supervising school-age children with crossing roads in various locations of the
Municipality in a safe and professional manner.
Your resume should clearly identify the following qualifications and skills which are
required:

Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education.

Experience interacting with children and working in a customer service environment is
considered an asset.

Ability to make quick and accurate decisions while keeping in mind the safety of children
at all times.

Good observation skills and the ability to interact with children and the general public
in a positive manner.

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, relaying information in a clear and
concise manner with the ability to handle stressful situations.
-
You will be required to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions while having the
ability to stand for long periods of time and be in good physical condition.

You must be available to work split shifts and be able to provide your own transportation.

A satisfactory Criminal Police Information Request (CPIC) is required at your own expense
at the time of hiring.
