Public Consultation

Details:

The Public Information Session scheduled for Tues., Jan. 27, 2009 on the proposed extension of Innovation Drive from Discovery Avenue to Hwy 15 was cancelled due to an emergency power outage. Rather than rescheduling another public information session, residents and other interested members of the public are invited to view and comment on the presentation from the cancelled meeting, which is available for viewing and download from this web site.

BACKGROUND

The City of Kingston willl receive public input and comment on the proposed extension of Innovation Drive from Discovery Avenue to Hwy 15. In addition to extending the roadway and creating a new intersection, existing underground services may be extended.

The Class EA is being conducted in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule B project under the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, as amended in 2007). The Class EA process involves identification of serviceability requirements, assessment of alternative solutions, development of a recommended conceptual design, and consultation with stakeholder agencies and the public.
