Affected residents to vote on traffic-calming speed humps Property owners in the vicinity of 10 streets are being surveyed to determine the level of support for adding traffic-calming speed humps in their areas. The proposed locations for the speed humps are outlined at www.cityofkingston.ca/trafficcalming. Owners of properties in the affected areas are invited to review proposed traffic-calming plans for their streets and register their approval or disapproval regarding them by April 30. A Traffic-calming Open House to present the proposed plans is set for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7 in the Press Lounge at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, 53 Yonge St. Residents on the streets listed below will receive surveys to determine the level of support for traffic-calming measures being proposed:
A minimum of 51 per cent of the surveys on each street must be returned and at least 60 per cent of respondents must indicate they are in favour of proposed traffic-calming measures in order for the City to implement the outlined plans. |
