Public invited to offer input on this key planning document

As required under the Ontario Heritage Act, the City is now developing a Heritage Conservation District Plan and Guidelines to support the proposed Old Sydenham Heritage Conservation District. This is the document that will guide all heritage, building, and planning approvals within the proposed district.

Kingstonians are invited to come learn about the draft Plan and Guidelines, ask questions and offer your input at a Public Open House on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall at Kingston City Hall National Historic Site, 216 Ontario St.

Additional Open Houses will take place this fall and in the spring of 2011 as the draft of the Plan and Guidelines is revised to reflect community feedback. A Public Meeting will also be held at Planning Committee in the spring of 2011.

Also on May 19, a Your Opinion comment opportunity will be posted at www.cityofkingston.ca/sydenham. Comments can be submitted online, or by mail to the address below until May 28.
