Barriefield Feasibility Study

Details:

A Public Information Centre (PIC) for the Consultancy on Potential Acquisition of Federal Surplus Land in Barriefield Village is scheduled for Tuesday, July 6 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at J.E. Horton Public School, 411 Wellington St. The purpose of the PIC is to introduce the consulting team to the community and to provide an overview of the schedule and planning process related to the Barriefield Feasibility Study.

A brief walking tour of the village will begin shortly after 6 p.m. and will be hosted by Wendy Shearer, heritage consultant. The purpose of the walking tour is to view the Department of National Defence surplus lands in the context of Barriefield Village. Following the tour, the consultants will have a brief presentation at the school followed by a question and answer period.

Please note that no decisions or development options will be presented at the PIC.

A Your Opinion comment opportunity on this issue has been set up at www.cityofkingston.ca/barriefieldhousing and input will be accepted until July 30.

The public is invited to attend and provide input on this important project. A public meeting has also been scheduled on Monday, Aug. 9 at Memorial Hall from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.. For more information on the project, please contact one of the following individuals:
