The City of Kingston Planning Committee will at
6:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 22
in Council Chambers of City Hall, 216 Ontario St.

Delegation:

Wolfe Island Transportation Study consultants will be attending to make presentation and answer questions on their study.

Business (Items for Discussion/Recommendation):

  • Forest Cover on Lands within the Urban Boundary
    The amount of trees and forest cover across the municipality has been identified as an issue for several years and has been of interest to Council throughout the Natural Heritage Study and the Official Plan process. The purpose of this report is to provide information to Planning Committee regarding the work that has been completed on the forest cover located within the urban boundary and several on-going City initiatives related to City owned trees.
  • 1293 - 1343 Princess Street - City of Kingston - D09-052-2010
    A city-initiated Official Plan Amendment application which seeks to re-establish a site-specific policy area for 1293-1343 Princess Street in order to implement the "Alexander Street Policy Area" policies from the former City of Kingston Official Plan, which were not included in the 2010 City of Kingston Official Plan.

Information regarding the above can be viewed at the Planning and Development Department, 1211 John Counter Blvd., during normal office hours, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
