Woodworking Museum To Host A Pioneer Christmas

On Sunday, November 29, bring your family and friends to Pioneer Christmas, a charming and festive event at the beautiful rural location of the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum.

Try your hand at trades of the past, and make your own traditional toy, candle and tree ornaments at this fun-filled family event.

Back by popular demand, we are happy to announce the return of the Kingston Carollers, delighting you with traditional carols throughout the afternoon. Live demonstrations will be provided by the Kingston

Woodturners Association and members of the Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners Guild will be on site to help teach children spinning and weaving first hand! Annabelle Girard, Programme Coordinator describes the event as a "great way for families to experience a Christmas from the past."

Be sure to check out the fantastic Gift Shop where you will find unique presents and gifts. Choose from a variety of merchandise such as woodworking items, toys and a wonderful selection of books- everything specially marked down for this occasion.

So, join us, rain or shine, on November, 29, from 12-4 p.m. It's only $9.00 per family, or $4.00 for adults and $1 for children. Come spend the afternoon at the MacLachlan Woodworking Museum and don't forget to visit the interactive kid's exhibit! Scenic Grass Creek Park is a great place for family walks, located behind the Museum.

The MacLachlan Woodworking Museum is located at 2993 Highway 2 East, 1km East of Joyceville Road, exit 632 from HWY 401. For more information, please contact the Museum at 613-542-0543 or visit www.cityofkingston.ca/maclachlan.
