Friday Traffic Update For December 18, 2009
Please note that City construction projects have concluded for the winter months but will be reported out as additional closures arise. Ministry of Transportation works in the vicinity of Highway 401 have also concluded. The advisories from Public Works and Government Services Canada for works related to the La Salle Causeway will continue weekly.
EVENT CLOSURES
Market Street will be closed every Saturday until Dec. 26 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. to accommodate market vendors.
MINISTRY OF TRANSPORTATION
Crews for the Ministry of Transportation have advised that construction has been suspended for a winter shutdown until March 2010. (An exact date has yet to be determined).
No other lane restrictions are anticipated for this period However, if any other lane closures are scheduled they will be reported.
OVERNIGHT LANE RESTRICTIONS ON THE LASALLE CAUSEWAY NOVEMBER 2009 - MAY 2010
Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) wishes to advise all local residents that vehicular traffic will experience overnight lane restrictions and occasional road closures on the LaSalle Causeway Bascule Lift Bridge in Kingston, Ontario, from Nov. 1, 2009 to May 7, 2010.
Lane restrictions and road closures will allow for structural repair and repainting work to be performed. Road closures will be announced in advance.
Safety is a top priority for PWGSC and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
FERMETURES DE VOIES DURANT LA NUIT SUR LE PONT-JETÉE LASALLE DE NOVEMBRE 2009 À MAI 2010
Travaux publics et Services gouvernementaux Canada (TPSGC) souhaite aviser tous les résidants de la localité que des voies seront fermées à la circulation automobile durant la nuit et que la route sur le pont basculant du pont jetée Lasalle, à Kingston, en Ontario, sera parfois fermée du 1er novembre 2009 au 7 mai 2010.
Cela nous permettra de procéder aux travaux de peinture et de réparations structurales. Nous annoncerons les fermetures de voies à l'avance.
La sécurité est la principale priorité de TPSGC, et nous nous engageons à assurer l'intégrité continue des ponts que nous gérons. Nous nous excusons pour tout inconvénient que ces fermetures pourraient vous occasionner et nous vous remercions de votre compréhension.
