City Schedules Affected By August Civic Holiday
Municipal Offices Closed, Transit To Run On Sunday Service
The civic holiday, Aug. 2, will create some schedule changes to municipal services:
Administrative Offices: All administrative offices, including social services, provincial offences and Utilities Kingston are closed. In the event of a utility emergency, such as a gas smell or a water main break, call Utilities Kingston (24-hours) at 613-546-1181.
Kingston Transit: runs on a holiday service (modified Sunday service). Please plan your trip using the My Trip Planner at www.cityofkingston.ca/tripplanner.
Garbage, Green Bin and recycling: There is no collection on Monday. For the rest of the week, collection occurs the day after your regular day.
Kingston Area Recycling Centre/Kingston East Landfill: Closed Monday.
Artillery Park Aquatics & Fitness Centre: Closed.
INVISTA Centre:
- Arena Operations: Open.
- Fitness & Wellness Centre at the Open until 8 p.m. - but there are no fitness classes and no personal trainers available to clients.
Wading Pools and Splash Pads: Open.
Grand Theatre Box Office: Closed
Portsmouth Olympic Harbour: Closed.
Libraries: All branches of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library will be closed.
