Information technology now makes it possible for the community to better serve its residents and businesses. By creating a better coordinated information and
referral system the City will offer people a wider range of information and direct persons to services offered by a broader variety of agencies. Effective use
of information technology by a coalition of agencies is the key to effectively responding to community needs and increasing knowledge of existing programs. The
first step is the partnering of community organizations, government and institutions to deliver a community information and referral service that is fully
automated.
