Volunteering Opportunities

MacLachlan Woodworking Museum is a thriving and active community-based museum. We serve all those who live, work and play in Kingston and surrounding areas. Thousands of people come to the Museum each year to see our exhibits and participate in our programs and events.

If you're interested in being a part of this exciting Museum, please see our volunteer opportunities below:

Museum's Goal: The MacLachlan Woodworking Museum is committed to serving the local community and area visitors by exploring nineteenth century life and changing technology with an emphasis on woodworking tools and wooden objects. Volunteers can support efforts in research, documentation and public services.

Museum's Mission: To cultivate and foster the appreciation and understanding of the role of wood and woodworking technology in the development of Canada. This shall be accomplished through conducting and encouraging research, collecting, preserving and interpreting woodworking tools and artifacts made by their use.
