Tenants Of The J.K. Tett Centre For Creativity & Learning

In May 2009 City Council approved the nomination of the following organizations as tenants to occupy the J.K. Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning when it re-opens:

  • Kingston Handloom Weavers and Spinners
  • Kingston Lapidary and Mineral Club
  • Kingston Potters' Guild
  • Kingston School of Dance
  • Modern Fuel Artist Run Centre
  • Theatre Kingston
  • Joe's MILL (Musical Instrument Lending Library)
  • The Macdonald Festival

Representatives of each of these organizations, along with five members of the community are forming the Tett Centre for Creativity and Learning Board of Directors. This incorporated organization is working closely with the City of Kingston to determine the best physical placement for each group within the centre and specific capital requirements that the groups will be coordinating. These organizations were consulted as part of the planning process and temporary locations have also been found for those organizations that have been directly impacted by the re-development of the J.K. Tett Centre. More information about these organizations, including their current locations, can be found on the Cultural Links site at right.
