Parkland Dedication Bylaw
The City of Kingston is harmonizing three bylaws that regulate parkland dedication to create one bylaw for the entire municipality.
The draft harmonized Bylaw (at right) was the subject of Your Opinion comment opportunity that ended on Thursday, Nov. 24.
The harmonized Parkland Dedication Bylaw will provide consistent City-wide requirements for parkland dedication. Parkland dedication is a requirement of land development where land is conveyed to the municipality for park or other public recreational uses.
The harmonized Parkland Dedication Bylaw will replace the Parkland Dedication Bylaws of the three former municipalities amalgamated in 1998 (Kingston Township, Pittsburgh Township and the City).
