Exhibit at the Leisure Showcase

The Spring/Summer Leisure Showcase takes place on Saturday, March 31, 2012, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.

Registration Deadline - March 2, 2012.

Don't miss this opportunity to reach thousands of people with information about your spring and summer recreation activities or related business. Streamline your registration process by accepting registrations on site during the showcase, and demonstrate your activity to potential new customers.

Details of the showcase to date are below, and updates will be conveyed to you closer to the showcase. Please be advised that there will be space for approximately 80 groups at this show and applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. Note: This year, due to space limitations, each group will be limited to one booth only.

The deadline for application is March 2, 2012, or whenever the booths sell out, whichever comes first. If you wish to choose your booth location in advance of the showcase, both contract and payment must be received before you book your space. Drop your application in to Artillery Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre (daily between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.) or call 613-546-4291 ext. 1700 to arrange to email or fax it in. The showcase layout is included in this email. Booths will be assigned on a first come, first served basis — and only once payment and paperwork have been received — and cannot be changed once assigned. Groups who do not wish to choose their booth, will be assigned one after the March 2 deadline. There will be a map drawn up for visitors to the showcase, indicating group locations.

The following information will be helpful in making your participation at the Showcase a great experience, thereby contributing to the continued success of the event. Please ensure this information is passed along to the persons responsible for both setting up and tearing down your booth.

Setup

12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 30.

Take Down

3:05 p.m. Saturday, March 31

Each group is required to fold down the table(s) and chairs in their booth at the end of the show and leave them in the space. As there is no room for storage, all display items must be removed from the facility immediately following the showcase.

Items to Bring With You

Please label all cords etc.

  • Table Cloth
  • Extension cords/power bars (there is enough power for each booth, but no internet)
  • String, Rope, Cord, Bungee Cords
  • Clips, pins, tape, pens, pencils, scissors
  • Dolly and helpers

Booth Dimensions

Most booths will be maximum 8 feet wide. 10 ft backdrops are too large for the space. Please keep this in mind when designing your booth. Depending on where you are located, a booth may be of similar size but a different configuration. By making your display interactive, you will attract more visitors to your booth. Suggested activities for booths are draws, face painting, crafts, samples, giveaways or allowing visitors to try out your activity. Due to the number of groups exhibiting you'll want to stand out from the crowd!

Note: Groups are not permitted to sell merchandise at their booth without advance permission.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call Lesley Kimble at 613-546-4291 ext 1715. Contracts must be returned to Artillery Park Aquatic Centre in person, or by mail at: 76 Ordnance St. Kingston, K7K 5V1, or via fax at 613-549-7171.
