Let summer begin! The Outdoor Aquatics Centre is now open.

Outdoor Aquatic Centre

Concept plans for replacing the Leo Lafleur Pool with an Outdoor Aquatic Centre adjacent to the Memorial Centre are available.

This new aquatic complex is designed for Kingstonians of all ages and features a new pool with multiple elements including:

  • A fenced area with shaded features surrounding the pool
  • A tots pool
  • A zero beach entry (sloping entrance to the pool accessible to wheelchair users)
  • Therapeutic leisure pool area
  • Diving area
  • A lazy river feature
  • a diving area
  • Swim-against-the-jets, T-cup spray and tumble buckets features

The Outdoor Aquatic Centre also includes a children's play area adjacent to a new splash pad.

A new addition to the Memorial Centre building provides showers, change rooms, washrooms and an indoor activity area. The new Outdoor Aquatic Centre features something for everyone.
