COMMUNITIES IN BLOOM KINGSTON
Kingston's CN Tower Communities in Bloom Garden
In 2008, the City of Kingston planted a garden at the base of the CN Tower in Toronto featuring Kingston's UNESCO designation as a World Heritage site as home of the Kingston Fortifications and the entryway to the Rideau Canal. The garden space at one of Canada's biggest tourist draws, was offered to Kingston in honor of its national Communities in Bloom win in 2007.
The CN Tower's 2008 "Communities in Bloom Gardens" was transplanted from some of the most attractive municipalities across the country, each garden symbolizes the beauty of its natural and nurtured environment, and the pride the residents have in their hometown.
Winners, like Kingston, of Canada's annual Communities in Bloom contest for beautification, community involvement and environmental stewardship welcomed visitors to the tower explore, linger and delight in each garden.
