Canada Day 2008

CONFEDERATION PARK/CITY HALL

  • Registration for the Limestone Mile races begins at 7:45 a.m. with races starting at 9 a.m. (contact Runners Choice at 613-542-2410 for more details).
  • Mayor Harvey Rosen will preside over a civic ceremony and announce the Distinguished Citizen Award Winners at 12 p.m. on the steps of City Hall.
  • Live entertainment from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Fireworks start at 10 p.m. sharp. Confederation Basin will offer the best view of the show.

GRASS CREEK PARK

(Hwy 2 east, 16 km from Fort Henry)
Activities start at 1 p.m. and run until 6 p.m.:

  • Live on-stage entertainment, including: Gopher Baroque (1 p.m.), G-Magic Show (2 p.m.), Sheesham and Lotus (2:55 p.m.), Hanna and Dana (3:40 p.m.), and Tea for the Voyage (4:20 p.m.)
  • Air castles, face-painting, pony rides, mural colouring, mini putt, horseshoe toss, and wagon rides
  • Family sports including croquet and bocce ball
  • Food and refreshments provided by the Joyceville Scouts
