    About The Relay

In 1985, Rick Hansen set out on a journey that took two years, two months, and two days to complete. Rick and his team wheeled more than 40,000km through 34 countries during the legendary "Man in Motion World Tour". The tour raised more than $26,000,000.00 for spinal cord research. One of the tours greatest achievements was an increase in awareness on accessibility that started a movement to remove barriers for individuals with disabilities and create a more inclusive world for everyone.

This year marks the beginning of the 25th anniversary of the Rick Hansen "Man in Motion World Tour". The Rick Hansen 25th Anniversary Tour will start on August 24th in Cape Spear, Newfoundland and on Sunday October 30th the relay will arrive in Kingston. Our City has been chosen to host an "End of Day Celebration" in Springer Market Square ending the relay for that day. Join the relay at www.rickhansenrelay.com.
