"Rockin' At The Clock": New Year's Eve, 2008

The final celebration event of our 10th anniversary year, this event is truly family oriented. It offers wagon rides, live entertainment for all ages, hot chocolate, and fireworks!

Roger James hosts, and helps to ring in the New Year with his usual musical comedic shenanigans!

OUTDOORS IN THE SQUARE

Until 10 p.m.

Skating in Springer Market Square — watch for special visitors that you might skate or party with!

4-5 p.m.

Synchro and Figure skating demos

4-7:30 p.m.

Free Horse Drawn Wagon Rides — White's Rides

5 p.m.

Shout Sister — Energetic, upbeat choir led by Blues great, Georgette Fry

6 p.m.

H'art School of Smiles — A Musical Revue from their recent show, 'Newton Finds a Home'

7 p.m.

Tangible Ears — this great Kingston band reunites for New Years Eve!

7:45 p.m.

Filet of Soul — Kingston's hottest R&B band

8:45 p.m.

Spectacular Fireworks Finale — Follow us to Confederation Park for the best viewing location (fireworks are set off at RMC point).


INSIDE MEMORIAL HALL - CITY HALL

4-9 p.m.

Art Display by H'art Studios and the Grade 8 Calvin Park L.E.A.P. (Limestone Education through the Arts Program) students

5:45 & 7:30 p.m.

'The Puppet Tamer' Tim Holland (a Buskers favourite!) presents this wacky new puppet show. 'Through Cheap Trickery and Genuine Magic, master ventriloquist Tim Holland convinces the audience of the dangers inherent in the taming of ferocious and uncooperative puppets'. (Seating is limited in these shows)

Great Skate Exchange

Bring your used skates to Springer Market Square to donate to the Great Skate Exchange which distributes the skates to Kingstonians who need them through P.R.O. Kids — Positive Recreation Opportunities for Kids.

Help support PRO Kids!

The proceeds from the sale of hot chocolate goes to PRO Kids, an organization that helps children to participate in recreational activities that they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.
