2010 ParaSport Winter Games

Kingston hosts the 2010 Ontario ParaSport Winter Games from Friday, Jan. 22 to Sunday, Jan. 24 — and everyone is welcome to come out to cheer on competitors — all the events are free.

More than 250 of Ontario's top para-athletes will compete in their respective sports here in Kingston.

Games run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Events (28 races in all) run from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Wheelchair Basketball

Wheelchair Curling

Games run from 8:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, and from 9 a.m. to 1:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 24.

Athletes, along with their families, coaches, support staff, officials and volunteers, will come together to celebrate their athleticism at two evening ceremonies. These events are for ParaSport participants and their special guests only:

  • Opening Ceremonies: 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 22 at the Kingston Military Community Sports Centre, 11 Duty Dr.
  • Closing Ceremonies: 5:15 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23 at the K-Rock Centre, 1 Barrack St. The Abrams Brothers will entertain starting at 7:30 p.m.
