WHAT IS THE K&P TRAIL?

The K&P Trail is a 15 km multi-use, semi-urban and rural trail extending from the Little Cataraqui Creek to Orser Road. It is ideal for a variety of recreational uses including walking, hiking, cycling, horse-back riding, and cross-country skiing and provides for a range of scenic experiences with its open landscape, rock cuts and wetlands.

No motorized vehicles are permitted on the trail with the exception of farm vehicles.

Please note that the rural trail dead-ends 1200m east of Sydenham Road. A future bridge connection and linkage is in the planning and design stage.

The Trail, which could eventually run from City Hall to Sharbot Lake, is now open for public use from just west of Binnington Court to Orser Road. It offers a vehicle-free route from the tip of the City to the heart of the country.

Opened in December 2007, the K&P multi-use recreational trail is a community Group of 7 priority project.
