Drop-In Fitness Classes

Keep your workouts exciting by trying new ways to move at one of the City's drop-in fitness classes at the fitness centres at Artillery Park. The class offerings change seasonally — check out the Activity Schedules for current schedules and explore the class descriptions below for more information. Fitness Centre members can enjoy drop-in classes at no added cost!

  • The Artillery Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre is at 76 Ordnance St. (enter off Bagot St.). See this month's activity schedule (available at right) for current class times. All classes are in the gym.
    • Adults: $7.75 per visit (drop-in), $57 monthly, $237 six-month membership, or $350 yearly (plus HST)
    • Seniors/Students: $6.20 per visit, $41 monthly, $189.60 six-month membership, or $280 yearly (plus HST)
  • The Fitness & Wellness Centre at the INVISTA Centre is at 1350 Gardiners Rd. See this month's activity schedule (available at right) for current class times.
    • Adults: $7.75 per visit, $41 monthly, $197 six-month membership, or $360 yearly (plus HST)
    • Youth: $5.15 per visit, $33 monthly, $158 six-month membership, or $267 yearly (plus HST)

ZUMBA: Get some Latin Flavor in your life, add some Salsa Sizzle to your step! Zumba's Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves create a fantastic calorie-burning, body-energizing workout, that will leave you feeling amazing and looking forward to working out!

Beginner Yoga & Gentle Yoga: For those who are new to yoga or who wish to re-visit the basics, learn traditional yoga postures and sequences that are designed to energize your body and mind. Discover the balance between strength and flexibility; effort and relaxation. No toe-touching ability is required!

Cardio Tone: Let the Music Move You! Cardio Group Fitness to Broadway Hits, Beatles Classics, 80's Rock and British Gold! Let the Music Move You! Join us for this great low impact "aerobic class" that will work your entire body by focusing on combining low impact moves and great sculpting exercises!

Cardio Core: Great music, great moves and a lot of fun! Join us for this energizing "aerobic combo class" that combines the best of cardio/aerobic and core conditioning.

Circuit Training: Whether a Full Body Circuit, An Upper Body Circuit or Lower Body Circuit — whichever the circuit type, this class is designed for you to work at your own pace, challenge yourself and your abilities as you work your way to a stronger, more functional, more powerful you! Challenge your cardio, stability, strength and endurance in this fun and engaging circuit for all fitness levels!

Silver In Action: A fun, low impact class for the young at heart. Keep your heart pumping, your muscles strong and your joints nice and loose in this fun and energizing class!

Boxercise: Get your heart rate up in this fun, challenging cardio workout that incorporates the basic movements of Boxercise; the jab, hook, cross, uppercut and kicks within a 45 minute cardio session. Get hooked on our cardio Boxercise.

Fitness Kickboxing: Get your heart rate up in this fun, challenging cardio workout that incorporates the basic movements of kickboxing; the jab, hook, cross, uppercut and kicks within a 45 minute cardio session. Get hooked on our cardio kickbox!

Body Sculpt: A fun, energetic class that will sculpt and tone your entire body! From beginner to advanced levels, whether you simply want to lose weight, maintain or gain strength, this class provides a sequence of exercises to assist in achieving a fit, strong and toned body image. All levels welcome.

Body Sculpt & Core: Sculpt your body and strengthen your Core with this great Body Sculpt & Core combo class!

Stability Sculpt on the Ball: Improve your strength, stability and balance while working muscles you didn't even know you had in this fun and engaging stability sculpt on the Ball class!

Power, Speed and Agility: Challenge and improve your Power, Speed, Stability and Agility in this engaging Circuit class! Great Cross Training for all levels and abilities!

Low Impact: Great music, great moves and a lot of fun! Join us for this great low impact "aerobic class" that will work your entire body by combining low impact moves and great sculpting exercises!

Lunch Hour Quick Fit Circuit: Strapped for time but want an effective workout? This Quick Fit session is for you! A Perfect way to squeeze a full body workout into your hectic day!

Lunch Hour Cardio Tone: Let the Music Move You! Cardio Group Fitness to Broadway Hits, Beatles Classics, 80's Rock and British Gold! Great music, great moves and a lot of fun! Join us for this great low impact "aerobic class" that will work your entire body by focusing on combining low impact moves and great sculpting exercises!

SPIN: If you like to ride then this 45 min Spin cycle session is for you! 45 minutes of fun, efficient and effective interval training on the bike! Join us for a great ride that will sculpt those legs and condition your heart and lungs!

Spin and Abs: Join us for a fantastic Spin class that combines the best of cardio work and Ab sculpting/strengthening all in one class!

Spin and Core: Work it all in this great Spin and Core class! Tone your legs, condition your heart and lungs and finish it off by strengthening and toning your core.

Power Circuit: A Full Body Circuit class that is designed for you to work at your own pace, challenge yourself and your abilities as you work your way to a stronger, more powerful you! Challenge your cardio, stability, strength and endurance in this fun and engaging circuit for all fitness levels!
