Parent and Tot Skating/Shinny

Parents are invited to bring their pre-schoolers to an arena program restricted to only parents (or grandparents / guardians) and their children. Children participating must be under 6 years of age. Please see the schedules below for skating times.

FALL & WINTER PARENT AND TOT SHINNY HOCKEY

Adults and tots are required to wear a protective helmet. Tots must have a screen on their helmet. Children must have an adult on the ice at all times. Hard rubber pucks are not permitted on the ice.

Rules for Parent & Tot Skating

  • All participants pay at the front desk.
  • All participants will receive a stamp to verify payment.
  • All participants must wear skates on the ice.
  • Children must wear a protective helmet with screen.
  • Strongly recommend that adults wear a protective helmet.
  • No hockey sticks/pucks/pylons/chairs/strollers allowed on the ice.
  • Children should not be carried on the ice while adults are skating.
  • Skating supports are permitted on the ice.
  • Children over 6 years of age are not permitted on the ice.

Please note: There is Public Skating on Sunday at the Kingston Memorial Centre for families with older children from 12 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.
