Healthy Community Fund
The City of Kingston's Healthy Community Fund is now accepting 2009 applications through the United Way.
If your not-for-profit or charitable group has a project idea, you may be eligible to receive a grant from the City of Kingston.
The 2009 Healthy Community Fund Guidelines and Application package is available at United Way serving KFL&A, at 417 Bagot St.and at City Hall, 216 Ontario St. You can also download the application and guidelines from this site using the links at right — or at www.unitedwaykfla.ca.
The deadline for receipt of applications at the United Way is Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 3 p.m
The Healthy Community Fund, which is the City's municipal grant program, was developed to provide funding to projects in the community that further the goals of the Strategic Plan. The objectives of the program are to:
- Provide organizations and groups within the City of Kingston the financial resources to support projects to strengthen our community.
- Encourage formal and informal partnerships among community sectors.
- Encourage efficient/effective methods of delivering programs.
- Foster innovation and creativity in addressing the needs of the community.
