Kingston Access Services

Kingston Access Services (KAS) is a charitable non profit organization, under the laws of the Province of Ontario. It is funded by the City of Kingston, passenger revenue, and donations. KAS oversees the operations of the Kingston Access Bus (KAB), the Kingston Area Patient Shuttle (KAPS) and operates a Dial-A-Bus service in the "rural" portions of the City (Route #9) for Kingston Transit.

The Kingston Access Services Board is composed of seven members, including two councillors, appointed for the term of council. The Kingston Access Bus service was established to coordinate community transportation and broker non-medical transportation. It provides door-to-door service on a first-come, first-served basis, while maintaining strict eligibility criteria for its registered passengers.
