Kingston Airport Terminal Renovations Complete
A series of minor renovations at Kingston Airport's terminal building have made the space more attractive, usable and convenient for travellers.
The work consisted of:
- removing bulkheads throughout the terminal,
- relocating signage,
- installing new water coolers and water bottle refilling stations,
- replacing washroom floors, and
- painting the public areas of the terminal.
"The removal of the bulkheads and repainting with a lighter color significantly improves the impact of natural light in the terminal and brightens up the traveller's experience while in the terminal," says David Snow, Airport Manager. "In addition, the installation of a water bottle refilling station post-security enable travelers to refill personal water containers that had to be dumped to pass security screening."
The $77,469 renovation was completed by David J. Cupido Construction Ltd. under the project management of Shoalts & Zaback, the designer.
