Public Liaison Committee (PLC)

A Public Liaison Committee (PLC) has been established that will meet at key points of the Environmental Assessment (EA) study to:

  • Provide input on consultation activities to ensure that community information needs are being met.
  • Provide input on information to be presented at the future Public Information Centres and other public consultation activities and review the consultation reports that will be prepared after these events.
  • Attend public meetings to provide a strong link between the project team and residents.

Applications from the public to sit on the PLC were accepted by the City of Kingston until 4 p.m. on April 30, 2009. The applications were then evaluated by City senior staff and project team members using the PLC Selection Criteria that were provided online at the EA study website as part of the application process.

The PLC members represent a cross-section of the City's business and community associations. Their place of residency also ensures that the communities on the east and west sides of the Cataraqui River will be equally represented.

The PLC met during Stage 1 of the EA study and will continue to meet during Stage 2. The names of the PLC members and their PLC E-mail addresses are listed below if you would like to contact them about EA study consultation activities:
