Take Transit Home From The K-Rock Centre For $1

The fare for event-goers presenting a valid event ticket stub to a bus operator after an event will be $1.

Also, after a Kingston Frontenacs game, Kingston Transit will add buses to existing service on Route 1 (Cataraqui) and Route 1&2 (Montreal/Division), so that game-goers can plan to take the bus home. The buses can be boarded at event bus stops to be set up on the northwest corner of Queen and King Streets.

"We are hoping the reduced fare and the convenience of added buses will encourage people to choose to take Kingston Transit to K-Rock Centre events," says Paula Nichols, Manager of Kingston Transit, who notes that taking the bus to events at the downtown Centre is a natural choice as it is close to the transit hub that serves the entire city.

Family Day Service: Kingston Transit will run on a Sunday service on Family Day, Monday, Feb. 15. There will be no special service to accommodate the Kingston Frontenacs afternoon game, but the $1 home-from-the-game fare will be honoured (for those presenting ticket stubs).
