Rack & Roll Service Ends For The Season

Monday, Nov. 30, was the last official day of the season for the Rack and Roll service on Kingston Transit.
Cyclists who use Rack and Roll to help them travel with their bikes can look for the service to return at the beginning of April, 2010.

$1 Transit, Cheaper Parking At K-Rock Centre

By Council mandate, the event parking rates will drop on Sept. 1 and a number of other minor changes to the K Rock

Transit Route 4 Becomes Easier-Access

Route 4 has become an Easier Access transit route. Kingston Transit has acquired four new accessible
buses — enough buses to allow it to add another Easier Access route. This means that all buses on
Princess Street routes will now offer easier access bringing Kingston Transit's total number of Easier
Access routes to seven.

Two urban transit experts will lead a public information session on improving transit
services March 19 at the Portsmouth Olympic Harbour. Professors Eric Bruun and Jeffrey
Casello have been invited by Kingston Transit to lead the session to discuss state-of-the-practice

Ride The Bus And Get A Federal Tax Credit
Kingston Transit is remininding riders that monthly transit passes are now eligible for a
federal tax credit. The transit pass tax credit, announced as part of the May 2006 federal
budget, allows individuals to claim the cost of monthly passes for commuting on transit.
