Route Changes

Effective Monday July 4th, 2011

Kingston Transit customer feedback has lead to these improvements to the routes below. These changes come into effect on July 4. The Trip Planner and Google Maps have been updated to reflect these changes for any trip you plan with a start date after July 4.

Route A

Route A has been changed to provide more service to the Cataraqui North neighbourhood. The route no longer travels to the INVISTA Centre or the Train Station as this service is provided by other routes.

The timetable has been changed so the Cataraqui Town Centre timepoint is on the :00 and :30 to better handle transfers. Riders who want to continue north to the INVISTA Centre should transfer to the Route 7 at the Cataraqui Town Centre Transfer Point.

Riders from Cataraqui North may wish to exit the bus at the Princess St. and Andersen Dr. stop to wait for the next downtown bound bus.

During the afternoon the bus will start at Union/University, travel down University Avenue, and turn left onto Stuart Street before heading downtown. The bus will travel towards the downtown in the same direction as all of the other downtown direction buses.

The first stop for this route will be on University Avenue outside of the Agnes Etherington Art Gallery.
