Garbage Collection & Bag Tags

ABOUT THE TWO-BAG LIMIT

Two (2) bags of garbage can be placed at the curb without bag tags. All other bags of garbage must be tagged. Please place your garbage at the curb by 6 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.

Garbage may be put in regular bags or containers at a maximum weight of 20 kilograms, or 44 pounds. Bags left behind will have a sticker placed on them indicating why they were not picked up.

LARGE ARTICLES, GARBAGE AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL

Large articles, excess garbage and construction material may be dropped off at a number of waste disposal facilities in the Kingston area. Please refer to the Yellow Pages in your telephone directory under Rubbish Removal and/or Waste Management. Residents are responsible for all disposal charges.
