Kingston's Green Bin Program Is A Success

This is Waste Diversion Week, making it a great time for the City to congratulate its residents on their use of the Green Bin, new to Kingston curbs this spring.
Since Green Bin collection started on April 6, more than 2 million kilograms (4.5 million pounds) of organic waste has been diverted from landfill. The rate of
contamination is less than 1 per cent.
