The Kingston East Landfill Site is located at 3664 4th Concession Road, (off Joyceville Road near Highway 401) in Kingston East.

Fees
Kingston East Landfill Fee Changes — Effective September 1, 2010
The fee structure at the Kingston East Landfill has been changed. Customers will now be charged a fee per visit to the landfill, as compared to the old fee structure which charged customers $110.00/tonne, or a minimum fee of $15.00 per month.
New Fee Structure
The following fees will apply for the use of the landfill:
- Fee per use for passenger vehicles including cars, mini-vans, SUVs, pick-up trucks, and trailers (if no waste in vehicle) — $15.00 per visit.
- Fee per use for passenger vehicles with waste pulling a trailer with waste, full-sized vans, trucks larger than pick-ups — $30.00 per visit.
Under the new fee structure, all customers will be charged a fee (as above) each time waste materials are brought into the landfill for disposal. Surcharges will still be applied to tires and appliances containing refrigerants (e.g. air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers).
Customers will continue to receive a monthly invoice. The monthly invoice will still list a net weight. However, you will not be billed based on this weight. This weight will be estimated by our staff and is for internal City purposes related to tracking the amount of material being disposed of in the landfill.
How does this affect you?
The change in the fee structure should have little effect on the average landfill customer, as most customers only use the landfill once per month. In order to generate a monthly charge over the minimum charge of $15.00 under the old fee structure, a resident would need to dispose of more than 130kgs of material in a month.
Those customers that are accustomed to using the landfill multiple times per month for small loads (totaling less than 130kgs/month) will notice a difference, as they will be charged $15.00/visit or $30.00/visit (based on vehicle(s) used), compared to the old minimum charge of $15.00/month. Costs can be minimized by only using the landfill when you have a full load of waste. Customers are reminded that bag tags can be purchased for $2.00 to allow residents to place more than 2 bags of garbage at their curbside weekly.
PLEASE NOTE
The Kingston East Landfill Site does not accept construction/demolition waste. This material may be brought to a number of waste facilities in the Kingston Area. Please refer to the Yellow Pages in your telephone directory under Rubbish Removal and/or Waste Management, or look at the Large Article Disposal section of this Web site.
