Online Forums

THE FREECYCLE NETWORK

The Freecycle Network is a North American wide grassroots movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free. Freecycle provides individuals and non-profits an online forum to "recycle" unwanted items. One person's trash can truly be another's treasure! There is now a local chapter: Kingston Freecycle

KINGSTON FREE4ALL

Kingston Free4all is another free, online service where people post items they no longer need. No money is exchanged and it keeps perfectly good "stuff" out of landfill. Things like toys, games, clothes, musical instruments, have been gifted as well as non-working items that people recycle into something else. Broken glass can be used in mosaic crafts, toilet paper tubes can go to the daycares on our list. Remember, one person's junk is another person's treasure.
