Walk In Sir John A.'s Footsteps
With Prime Minister Jean Chretien
On Canada Day, Mayor Harvey Rosen announced the launch of "In Sir John A.'s Footsteps" —
a self-guided walking tour celebrating the life and times of Kingston's most revered
citizen Sir John Alexander Macdonald, the Father of Confederation. The audio accompaniment
for the tour was voiced by the Right Honourable Jean Chretien, former Prime Minister of
Canada.

Transit Offers $5 Day Pass For City Visitors
A $5 Day Pass is available for visitors to Kingston. This pass gives one adult and two
children (under 18) unlimited bus rides, and is available at Kingston City Hall, 216
Ontario Street, or at the Tourism Information Office in Confederation Park.
New Museum Exhibit Honours Its Founder

A new exhibit honouring Alexander 'Sandy' Grant MacLachlan, the founder of the MacLachlan
Woodworking Museum, will open on September 2. With the assistance of many friends and
