Tour Bus Parking

The City of Kingston values tourism and supports the motor coach industry. There are a number of options available for drivers to ensure safe and appropriate passenger embarking/disembarking and parking.

Embarking/Disembarking:

  • If visiting City Hall, you may discharge your passengers, but no idling is permitted. After discharging passengers, the coach may not park in front of City Hall.
  • Throughout the rest of the City, you may discharge passengers at available metered spaces, or within zones marked "Loading" or "No Parking", however no idling or parking is permitted.
  • Please avoid the use of municipal bus stops or "No Stopping" areas for passenger embarking/disembarking.

Day Parking:

  • Parking is not permitted in front of City Hall. Bylaw Officers have the authority to ticket vehicles in violation — the fine is $25*.
  • Tour Bus parking is currently available on Wellington Street between Barrack Street and Place D'Armes, and on lower Brock and Johnson Streets* (see map on reverse).

Please note: Locations, fees, fines and regulations are subject to change. The City of Kingston shall not be held liable for any damages arising out of information contained in its brochures or website.
