Apply by tomorrow to serve on a City board or committee

Want to shape your community? This Tuesday, Nov. 20 is the deadline to apply to volunteer on one of many City of Kingston committees.

Kingstonians can review the current openings and apply to serve by 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at www.CityofKingston.ca/Committees or complete an application package available in the city clerk's department, City Hall, 216 Ontario St.

"The City benefits from citizens of diverse backgrounds who serve on committees and share their expertise. Committees are a great way for residents to volunteer unique skills and knowledge to strengthen our shared sense of community," says John Bolognone, city clerk.

Kingston's committees provide Council and staff with input on a wide variety of subjects through discussions, presentations, and recommendations. The City is seeking members for these groups that guide the City:

Advisory Committees

  • Arts Advisory Committee
  • Heritage Kingston
  • Housing and Homelessness Advisory Committee
  • Kingston Environmental Advisory Forum • Rural Advisory Committee

Legislated Committees and Commission

  • Appeals Committee
