Are you on the voters' list?
Eligible voters, be ready to vote in the May 15 municipal by-election for Countryside District (District 1): make sure you are on the voters' list by using the look-up tool at www.CityofKingston.ca/elections under the Voters tab.
You can vote in Kingston's Countryside – District 1 municipal by-election if you are:
- a Canadian citizen; and
- at least 18 years old; and
- not prohibited from voting under any law; and
- a resident in Countryside – District 1 or
- a non-resident of Kingston and you or your spouse own or rent property in District 1 – Countryside.
"While the voters' list can be updated until the polls close on voting day, checking to see you are on the list will ensure you receive a voter notification letter and speed up the voting process," says Janet Jaynes, deputy city clerk.
Go to the tool at www.CityofKingston.ca/vote and simply enter your name and street address. The tool will tell you, either:
- Yes, you are on the voters' list.
- No, we cannot find you on the voters' list. Please contact the Election Office at 613-546-4291, ext. 1430 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
The search tool is linked to the live voters' list that is being updated by staff. Revisions to the voters' list will be accepted at the Election Office at City Hall starting Tuesday, March 28.
Be vote-ready: use the look-up today.
